Speaker Series – Hannah Ives: New Hope Midcoast

For almost twenty years Hannah Harter-Ives has worked with survivors of domestic and sexual violence at three different non-profits. Since 2008 Hannah has worked at the local nonprofit New Hope Midcoast, formerly known as New Hope for Women, which is the domestic violence resource center that covers the midcoast region. Hannah will speak about the dynamics of domestic abuse, share common myths and justifications of domestic violence, explain the challenges that victims face when contemplating their options, and talk about what New Hope Midcoast does to support victims and survivors of abuse in our local community.
